You have earned respect for your professional and personal achievements from your family, friends, colleagues, and community. People appreciate you today for who you are and for what you're doing. But do you ever wonder... "How will I be remembered?" With good planning, you will be remembered as one who cared, helped, and thought of others. You can take charge of your future, and how people will remember you. Many chiropractic clinicians and other friends of chiropractic care have joined the FCER Heritage Society, by making a bequest to the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research. Types of Planned Giving Tribute: In your name, or the name of a loved one, you can make a gift of cash, appreciated stock, real estate, mutual funds, retirement assets, and/or other tangible property and realize the benefit from a significant tax deduction.* Bequest: You can create a charitable legacy and reduce real estate taxes by making a gift to FCER in your will. It is also possible to name FCER as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or other insurance plan. Deferred Gift: Charitable gift annuities, remainder and lead trusts are examples of deferred gifts that provide you (or someone named by you) with a lifetime income stream and a gift to FCER upon the death of the income beneficiary. In order to protect the integrity of the research that it funds, FCER maintains a 501(c)(3) status as an independent research foundation, dedicated to education and research.
